1 out of 5 stars Worthless machine   September 1, 2010

Piece of CRAP!!!
The company should be ashamed to call this thing a vaccuum cleaner! Also if u purchase it and decide to send it back u can't remove the snap on handle so u can get it back in the original box. U have to take it to a approved & qualified repair service to have it removed. I put it together and tried to vaccuum up a small piece of thread on the floor and it wouldn't even pick it up. Ladies and gentlemen this is a piece of junk.
Also the Eureka company is no help. I'll never buy another Eureka product.

4 out of 5 stars Great little vacuum   August 27, 2010
YellowBeauty
This was a great buy. It's a compact vacuum with a powerful motor. I only gave it four stars because the vacuum is not great on hardwood floors, it seems to just push particles and dirt around and the power cord should be longer. When used on upholstery, it's fantastic. The attachment that comes with the vac is very powerful. I get all the cat hair up from furniture. it's a great buy plus you can't beat the price.

2 out of 5 stars Motor stops working if it overheats   August 24, 2010

So, I had the green optima before and the motor stopped working after I had it for 4 years. I replaced it with this, the pet lovers model. The motor stops working if it overheats, like today, on a hot 90 degree day. I let it cool down and it works again. Thankfully I don't have to get it serviced.

5 out of 5 stars Love Pet Lover   August 20, 2010

It does the job really well. The canister fills up with each use and quite a bit of dust gets captured by the filter. I think the manufacturer should reveal the fact that the filter has to be there and replaced frequently. It's worth it if the filter gets rid of all the dust. I use an old tooth brush to clean it each time I clean out the canister. There are little accordian like folds in the filter that catch some of the dust and shaking it will not release it. You have to brush them out.

The hose on board which is looped over the top of the machine sometime pops out of the spot where it is held. So, I just pop it back in and keep on vaccuming.

While this all may sound like a lot of trouble, I feel the machine is efficient when it comes to getting all the dirt out of my carpet. I was used to a vaccum where you had to keep changing the bags full of dust when they would get full. That is a nasty job too and more so than the Pet Lover vaccum.

4 out of 5 stars Great with some downfalls   August 19, 2010
Natalia Serejko (Philadelphia, PA)
I recently bought this vacuum cleaner becuase I was looking for something small and light weight to clean up after my dog's shedding periods. I am attending Graduate school and I live in a huge house with a bunch of roommates in a 10 bedroom house and this vacuum does a fantastic job cleaning up after everyone. The attachment that come with it are priceless as they help to get things cleaner, faster. My only problem with this vacuum is that a lot of the dirt and hair gets stuck on the filter which is in the top part of the vacuum so you need to remove it with your hands after some time cleaning as the vacuum will start loosing some suction power. This really is a great vacuum though and it is worth the price. One other thing that would be nice is if the hose was just a little bit longer, but it does a great job none the less.
