Product Description Throw away that mop and bucket. The BISSELL Steam Mop turns plain tap water into powerful steam that safely cleans and dries your floors with no need for wringing or rinsing. Perfect for wet, sticky messes!
Amazon.com Review The Bissell steam mop for bare floors is ready to blast away grime in just 30 seconds and gets the job done without the use of chemicals or detergents. Powered by a tank of tap water, the environmentally friendly mop shoots steam out of its 10-1/2-inch floor nozzle when you pull the handle trigger. The machine-washable terry-cloth mop pad wipes up the results. Slim and lightweight, the mop features an easily maneuvered swivel head with a conveniently shallow profile for under cabinets and shelves. It is safe for use on marble, ceramic, stone, vinyl, laminate, linoleum, and sealed hardwoodsall of which should dry after cleaning in a matter of seconds. An externally mounted filter features color-changing beads to indicate when it needs replacing. The machine can be used with distilled water to prolong the filter's life. The mop runs approximately 15 minutes on one tank, and speedy set-up and heating time means you can be cleaning again within a few minutes. Nice details include a comfortable handle, a ready indicator light, an extra mop cover, a built-in carrying handle, a wall-mount storage bracket, and quick-release cord hooks. Bissell also includes a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

Works Great - Expect a 3yr Life July 18, 2010 Brewdog760 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great product that works as advertised. My wife and I bought this about 4-5 years ago and is has worked very well getting our laminite wood floors clean. We have two large dogs and two kids so our weekly or twice weekly routine is to use the bare floor attachment on the cannister vacuum to pick p all dog hair and larger particles. We then heat up the Bissell with distilled water and put the mop-head on. It usually only take a couple of minutes to be ready to go. Pros: - Heats up quickly - Really does steam the floors clean - No residue - Very little excess water on the floor and when there is, it can be taken up quickly - Stores well in the broom closet Cons - Ours broke down after only 3 years. We liked it so much and there is nothing else like it so we will buy another one - Cannot take up everything. Sometimes you still need to get down there a scrub a stubborn spot
Quit working July 16, 2010 D. Trotter 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Worked OK for about a year and just quit working---water heats, but does not work. Cheaply made
Good Job, Big Time Saver July 7, 2010 M. West I no longer dread mopping the floors as I used to do with the water bucket and mop. The steam mop is a must for tile floors, and I have a lots of tile. Saves a lot of time and effort, with no messy cleanup. Just toss the cover in the laundry. I got 2 additional microfiber covers, which helps a lot. This is a wonderful product. Throw out those old scrub mops, people!!
Great! June 11, 2010 Desiree Pros: Lightweight, no chemicals, easy to use, picks up spots, washable mop cloths, heats quickly Cons: Could have a longer cord and more cloth pads They shipped me a tea green steam mop with white mop pads. Even though the picture shows a white steam mop... still works! :) Plug it in, wait 30 seconds, light turns on, squeeze the trigger for water (you don't have to constantly squeeze). This machine should be quite. Mine makes noise until the water fills inside (takes a few seconds). Hold the trigger with the machine vertical for a few seconds until the water chamber fills and then it won't make any noise. Great product! No more mop and bucket!

Love this item in every way. The only improvement that could be made is a longer cord.
